Death to Sexy describe themselves as a “punk infused electro band” from Victoria, Canada. Their sound is unique with deep, dark and dirty bass lines and dancy percussion used to accommodate the edgy, upfront vocals of singer Kelcy Clark. She takes no prisoners when it comes to attitude, exhibiting all the traits of a classic front woman. The line up is completed by Kevin Legere, a veteran techno dj and former punk band guitarist who creates and re-mixes beats with technical wiz Scott McPhearson. They’ve been decent enough to make their album ‘Fall of the Prom Queen’ available for free download, so see what you think.

No, not the South Korean urban legend which states that an electric fan, if left running overnight in a closed room, can cause the death by suffocation, poisoning, or hypothermia of those inside (Nice!) I’m on about the amazing girl duo Dandi and Marta from Vancouver, Canada. They’re a music/art crossover act and very little is really know about them but with this air of mystery they cast a magic blend of disco strings, synths and eerie vocals that will squeeze the dark, romantic diva out of you whether you like it or not.
