Doll and the Kicks
When I saw Doll and the Kicks play the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 2007 I was totally excited and amazed at the same time! They emerged from the seaside hub of UK music that is Brighton and play a combination of slow funky songs and energetic jumpy, fast paced rhythm all swaggered out by three really cute indie boys. Then there’s the singer, who calls herself Doll. She has a presence that is kind of captivating (I remember wanting to be her) like a Blondie look with a Gwen voice. Albums due for release sometime in 2009, so lookout!
